The Good:
My Vitamin B
My Protein Levels
My Vitamin A
My Thyroid
Calcium
Etc.
The Ugly:
Vitamin K - which you get from green leafy vegetables, which give me a stomach ache from hell - so he instructed me to get a vitamin K supplement, and get some Bean-o! LOL
Vitamin D - My last reading was 53, which was residual summer time.. This reading was 20. I reminded him that I reflect the sun, and told him about some vitamins that I fell in love with.. but they were sugary and they were addicting so I stopped buying them. He told me he doesn't care if it's a lollipop rolled in sugar, I need to take more Vitamin D. He would let me know if it gets too high, but at this point he's not worried about that. It's not the lowest I've been at, but I think he's being harder on me b/c it was really good at one point.
Iron - My iron stores over the last 3 readings (including the one I'm getting in trouble for are 25, then 20... then 5. He said that this is a dangerous level... That if it gets worse, I could have to get iron transfusions or something like that, and they're not fun and can be painful.
So... I'm ordering more iron today.. drank some Vitamin D, and am becoming even more diligent with my vitamins. The lack of energy that I've been having could be from my lack of iron as well.
Maybe this was the kick in the ass I needed, right?
My weight stayed the same as my last visit, and my blood pressure was good. Wahoo!!

Glad to hear everything is relatively okay :o)
Greeeeat... I shutter to think what'll happen when I get my blood work done in the next couple of weeks. ARG!
I really like the orange flavored Celebrate Iron! Yum.
I just ordered the grape ones.. I have had those before and like them a lot!
I am mad at Bariatric Advantage so I don't want to give them business anymore! LOL
Thanks so much for commenting on my blog! I will definitely be reading your blog and following you more closely as I prepare for my own surgery. Incidentally, I don't think your before picture is scary at all, you are just as adorable "before!" You want some scary befores, take a look at my pics lol!
Last year my iron levels went down to 2 and stayed there for 6 months. ONLY then did they realise they really should do a hysterectomy TO STOP ME BLEEDING TO DEATH! Pffffft. Idiots.
I have no doubt you are constantly tired and breathless? Iron is soooo critical to our health. Take supplements mate. You need it.
I get blood work up in a few weeks. My vitamin D is always low. I think everyones is low. Your report wasnt too bad tho.
I have been having iron infusions for several years now and they are not bad at all. No different than being hooked up to an IV and you feel so much more better afterwards. I had my surgery back in 95 and even taking iron, my body will not absorb it, so please be careful.
I like BariatricEating.com better than Bariatric Advantage, for whatever reason.
You mentioned once that you didn't do protein drinks that much anymore--how do you get your protein in? Costco just discontinued my favorite protein bullets and I'm freaking out a tad...
I have to get a blood draw Saturday so I'll be doing this soon myself! Vitamin D is hard for everyone to keep up, it seems. Some of those calcium chews have D in them--I love the lemon ones.
Wow, just checked out your before and after pics, you are looking amazing! Well done.
bohzo (hello)
Congarts you look like a million dollars, i have thought about this surgery but am to scared.
